The Support Team
Most people don’t want to need a lawyer, but when they need a lawyer, they want the best. We think the best lawyer has the best legal team. Valerie Juergens Wilt & Associates has a team that is caring, respected, and always prepared.
Mary Leigh is the Office Manager and legal secretary, with over 30 years of experience. Her first job in the legal field was the secretary to Attorney Wilt’s father. Mary takes great pride in her work - justifiably so. Her co-workers say “Mary makes everything she does look so easy.”
Becky has worked for Valerie Wilt for almost 9 years as her paralegal. After retiring from the US Postal Service, Becky decided to go to paralegal school to pursue her second career. Her organization and attention to detail help keep the office running on track.
Tammy is our client service representative. She is excited to be the newest member of the team. When you call to schedule an appointment, it is Tammy’s cheerful voice you will hear.
Valerie Juergens Wilt
For three generations the Juergens family has practiced law in Clark County Ohio. Valerie graduated Cum Laude from the University Of Dayton School Of Law in 1988. While in law school, she met and married her husband, Greg Wilt. Greg and Valerie have 2 wonderful children, and they will be celebrating 28 years of marriage in 2015.
After graduating from law school, Valerie spent the first 3 years of her practice with the law firm of Bieser, Greer and Landis, in Dayton Ohio. There she handled complex civil litigation, insurance and malpractice defense. After 3 years of representing corporations, Valerie knew that her true passion was “to help real people with real problems”. She returned to her hometown of Springfield, where she had the privilege to practice with her father, Tim Juergens, for 7 years before his retirement.
Since returning to Clark County, Valerie has practiced in several areas of law. She is known as one of the top lawyers in the area of family law, including divorce, dissolution, and child custody matters. A large portion of her practice also includes probate, estates, wills and trusts. Her background in insurance and malpractice defense also prepared her for a successful practice in civil and criminal trial work, and representing injured clients.
Valerie is qualified as a Domestic Relations Mediator. Not only has Valerie enjoyed much success in the courtroom, but also she enjoys working with parties through the mediation process. Mediation offers an opportunity to approach problems with creative ideas and develop solutions that might not be available in a trial setting.
